Brunel University London is looking to appoint an experienced engineer with excellent technical knowledge in the field of energy management to join the Campus Services Directorate. This is an exciting opportunity to join the University at the start of its Net Zero journey, contribute to shaping an appropriate energy strategy and steering the University to a sustainable future.
Reporting to the Associate Director of Environment and Sustainability, the Energy Sustainability Manager will take the lead role in ensuring that the University achieves reductions in consumption of energy, water and carbon emissions across a diverse, unique estate. A strong understanding of renewable technology and on-site generation would be an advantage.
The successful candidate will proactively plan, regulate and monitor the energy and water use within all buildings across the campus and take responsibility for the development, coordination and implementation of strategies and projects to reduce utilities’ consumption. They will need to demonstrate excellent communication skills and the ability to operate successfully at an influential level across a diverse range of stakeholder groups.
