This is a permanent team leader role and we will also use this round of recruitment to fill other future team leader opportunities.
The team
You'll be an integral part of our Water, Land and Biodiversity department and our Area Leadership Group. Your GWCL team covers a wide range of activities including:
• Technical input into permitting, planning and regulatory activities
• Groundwater quality monitoring and modelling
• Contaminated land remediation advice and implementation
• Water quality and water resource planning, dry weather management planning, technical review of water company water resource management plan and drought plans and RAPID schemes.
Experience/skills required
The role requires you to be an engaging and inspirational leader with the ability to influence others. You will have experience of developing people, leading and motivating people to be high performing, and managing a quality service whilst providing value for money.
Additionally you should:
• have a track record of dealing with complex leadership and management situations
• ability to set direction and deliver activities through your team.
• Effectively balancing work priorities against business planning and resource management
• Ability to be flexible, resourceful and prioritise work to deliver the best outcomes.
• have a positive attitude and the ability to work independently to prioritise workloads
• be a clear and confident communicator, with the ability to develop and maintain good relationships with colleagues at all levels of the organisation
