Job Description
The Waterfront Division works on challenging structural projects including piers, bridges, tunnels, slopes, ground treatment, and excavation support systems. We are seeking a motivated co-op for GEI’s Franklin, Massachusetts office to assist with projects throughout the northeast coast. This is an excellent opportunity to learn from our senior staff and gain a wide range of experience.
Primary Responsibilities
•Under supervision of the senior staff, candidates will work on a variety of waterfront projects throughout the region.
•Monitor construction activities such as pile driving and concrete placement.
•Assist with field inspection, engineering analyses and design. Perform computations, prepare spreadsheets, prepare and edit drawings using AutoCad.
•Assist with preparation of proposals and reports.
Qualifications
•Pursuit of a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
•Willingness to travel on temporary assignment if needed.
•Must have a valid driver's license and be willing to work in the field as needed.
•Ability to perform field work on active construction sites year-round without restrictions, and in inclement weather if required.
